Abortion is an argument that has been around for centuries. There are two categories when it comes to people and abortion; there is the pro-choice and pro-life. Pro-choice is when a woman believes that a fetus is not a human being it is just a bunch of tissue cells. A pro-life is a person that believes that a fetus is a human being and to abort it is considered murder. Abortion is a civil rights, a human rights issue, and the basic right to life of all humans must be protected but is it equal protection? The question that the most people are asking is what is considered a human being? Physicians, biologists, and other scientists agree that conception [they defined fertilization and conception to be the same] marks the beginning of the life of a human being — a being that is alive and is a member of the human species. There is overwhelming agreement on this point in countless medical, biological, and scientific writings." Report, Subcommittee on Separation of Powers to Senate Judiciary Committee S-158, 97th Congress, 1st Session 1981, WHY CAN'T WE LOVE THEM BOTH by Dr. and Mrs. J.C. Willke state that once sperm breaks the egg and fertilizes the egg it is considered to be human being. Even though this is a single cell it is considered an individual human being because no one in history will ever create this cell again. This being is complete, i.e., nothing else — no bits or pieces — will be added from this time until the old man or woman dies — nothing but nutrition and oxygen. This being is programmed from within, moving forward in a self-controlled, ongoing process of growth, development, and replacement of his or her own dying cells. (WHY CAN'T WE LOVE THEM BOTH by Dr. and Mrs. J.C. Willke)? This individual human being prepares its own birthday and helps the mother body prepare for its coming into the world.

Abortion: Where Has Morality Gone

...rape/incest as their motivation in of all abortions. In the end, abortion is murder, and it is morally wrong. Everybody would agree that killing is immoral but abortions are legal and many people go on with their lives and try to just avoid this controversial topic. They see the rallies against abortion on television and change the channel, but never wonder, “what if my mother had made the ‘choice’ to abort me, would I be alive today?” So, abortion is not a matter of choice, but a matter of taking responsibility for choices and actions and caring for another human life, if there is a truthful moral decisions, it has to be human life, therefore, abortion is, certainly, morally wrong.
