Mis589 Week 5 Essay

...Silvio Kennedy MIS589 Week 5 Homework June 4, 2014 R17. What is the difference between a permanent address and a care-of address? Who assigns a care-of address? In mobile network a permanent address for a mobile node is its IP address when it is at its home network. A care-of-address is the one its gets when it is visiting a foreign network In the Mobile Internet Protocol (Mobile IP), a home address is the relatively permanent IP address given to a mobile node. The home address remains unchanged no matter where the mobile node is located. The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) defines the home address in RFC 2002, IP Mobility Support, which describes an enhancement to the Internet Protocol (IP) that makes it easier to replug a mobile device into networks other than its home network. Care-of-Address, on the other hand is, is a temporary IP address for a mobile node (mobile device) that enables message delivery when the device is connecting from somewhere other than its home network. The care-of address identifies a mobile node's current point of attachment to the Internet and makes it possible to connect from a different location without changing the device's home address (permanent IP address). The Foreign Agent that on the visiting or foreign network assigns the Care-Of-Address to the mobile node. R1. What are the differences between message confidentiality and message integrity? Acc 300 Week 4 Reflection

...Week 4 Weekly Reflection Student 1 For any organization, household, or business it is vital to maintain internal controls on procedures and records. Maintaining control of these principles once put in place permits activities to get the larger picture. Internal control principles include independent internal investigations or surprise inspections that are conducted by an outside source with no hidden agenda to the company. These inspectors follow procedures to reduce fraud and misuse and enhance accounting accuracy by examining documents of transactions received and performed. To balance accounting records bank reconciliation and adjusting entries are a necessary process to aid in identifying errors. The possibility of miscalculations deliberately or inadvertently can be distressing without the skill or the expertise to conduct proper control measures for a household or company. This week’s objectives can be easily understood providing managers apply applicable control types and keep the business accounting principles flowing correctly. ...Samuele Padalino Week 5 Essay Backing up Active Directory If you lose your Active Directory, you lose everything. Your Windows domain will stop working shortly after losing the Active Directory. The only way to prevent losing your Active Directory and Windows domain is by backing up the Active Directory. Every domain controller has a full copy of the directory and the ability to modify it. To ensure the safety of your active directory, you need to back up any one of the domain controllers. But if you want to be able to restore any domain controller, you’ll have to back them all up. To back up the Active Directory means to capture the System State, this is a collection of system-specific data that includes the Active Directory database and related log and transaction files, Registry, COM+ configuration information, boot files, the SYSVOL system volume, certificate information, and a few other system files. There is a free utility tool provided by Microsoft in Windows 2008. The backup tools will be able to capture a System State. But you have to keep the backup software in a different location than the domain controller in order to easily restore it. To recover the Active Directory you can use the ntdsutil snapshot command to create snapshots of the Active Directory database. By scheduling a task to periodically create snapshots, you can obtain additional copies of the Active Directory database over time. You can use these copies to better identify when the forest-wide......

...SOC 300 Week 5 Discussion 08/04/2014 "Education" Please respond to the following: * Based on the lecture and Webtext materials, address the following: * Thus far, we have learned that obtaining an education does not appear to be a high priority in the developing world. Suggest at least two (2) reasons why education should be a priority in the developing world. Next, propose significant overall strategies - aside from building more schools - which those in leadership positions in developing countries may use in order to help their people escape poverty through education. The two (2) reasons I believe why education should be a priority are: It will increase the chances that educated citizens will take care of their families in the future. The more educated they become the better future their family will have and improving their quality of life. Education reduces poverty. Education also promotes health. Women with a secondary education are far likely to be aware of the measures for preventing spreading HIV to other and their unborn children. They will also have healthier children decreasing the infant mortality rates. They will also increase their own life span by at least 30 to 40 more years, I propose that developing countries who require aid must use more than half of the aid for education, healthcare and job training. If the countries that requesting the aid does not comply, they forfeit the opportunity to receive the aid for countries who are willing......

If a company is need to report cash earnings at a higher rate as to not float expenses then short-term investments will be needed. However when dealing with marketable securities the maturity date will be in question as to journalize the transactions as capital or a cash equivalent. Both are very important to a company’s decision to raise capital and or to invest. The direction in which will be followed will need to be reviewed properly to make sure the end-line results that was needed for the intended investment and recording of such investment. What are the differences between investments and marketable securities? Marketable securities are common stock, certificates of deposit or Treasury Bills that are cashed out or sold within a year.
