financing do to negative equity on previous year losses. In 2004 assets decreased to at about 48.52%, the company sold some of the fixed assets equaling about 13.5%. There was also an increase in inventory from 4% in 2003 to 4.8% in 2004. There was an increase in long-term liability of about 9% but there was also a decrease in short-term liability of about 9.5% which helps offsets the increase in the long-term liabilities. There was improvement in equity of about 9% for the year.
3. What concerns would investors and creditors have based on only this information? According to the balance sheet the company is not financially sound with mostly long-term financing 82% and short-term of about 26% a total of about 108% this is still high, Lucent inventory has also increased this is also something that needs to be kept in mind if the demand for the product starts to decline and there’s to much inventory that’s not moving what will be the carrying cost and can the company with stand those costs, and as an investor or creditor I am sure they definitely don’t want to see negative equity. As stated there was profit gain of $2002 in 2004 showing the company can improve and its financial planning seems to be on the right patch and I am sure they will continue to improve. As a creditor the company shows 48.5% in total current assets which is good in case the firm needs to liquefy more assets when needed as it did previously, and 26% in total current liabilities showing a decrease. Overall this shows the company still has enough…...

...eurozone crisis. A grand coalition may look more pro-European – but be careful what you wish for. Gridlock may swiftly return as a permanent threat of new elections hangs over such a coalition. Soon we might hear again that we have to wait until after the next German elections. The only scenario in which you can see any form of stability is one where both the AfD and the FDP win more than 5 per cent of the votes, the threshold for parliamentary representation. Then the Bundestag would have six parties and neither the CDU and the FDP, nor the SPD, Greens and the Left would have an absolute majority. In that case, the grand coalition would be the only option – and it would be stable. None of the partners would have an incentive to leave. It would be similar to the grand coalition of Ms Merkel’s first term in 2005-09. The problem with that is long-term. The AfD might become a stronger force, pushing the CDU to a more eurosceptic position. The ultimate irony is that a necessary precondition for a continuation of Ms Merkel’s current policies – whatever you may think of them – is the election of an anti-European party. If the AfD fails to clear the 5 per cent hurdle – which is what most observers, including me, expect – then it is hard to see any constellation that delivers stability to German politics. The next four years promise to be very different from the last....

Analysis of Statistical Models for the Simulation of Rayleigh Faded Cellular Channels

...methods for the simulation of mobile radio channels. The primary goal of any channel simulation model is to reproduce the statistical properties of the real world channel as faithfully as possible. The main idea behind a class of sum-of-sinusoids (SoS) channel models is to simulate the channel as a stationary complex Gaussian random process, formed by the sum of multiple sinusoidal waveforms having frequencies, amplitudes and phases that are appropriately selected to accurately reproduce the desired statistical properties. 1.2.2 Aims of the project This project aims to compare the statistical SoS methods in terms of their complexity and performance. My partner and I decided to compare the Level Crossing Rate (LCR) and Average Fade Duration (AFD) for various models. 1.2.3 Chart of team organization This project was carried out in a two-member team. Federal Contracting

...government suppliers, vendors and this gave the government notice that VectorCal was ready to become one of their suppliers. Once VectorCal obtained a copy of the bid, VectorCal reviewed the bid to make sure they knew all the requirements needed to participate and understood the material and from there VectorCal proceeded to complete the bid. Angie’s Fashion Designs (AFD), a small business owner was recently awarded $100,000 fixed-price contract with the government to be a supplier of dress shirts/blouses. Under this fixed-price contract, AFD agrees to deliver shirts/blouses at a price not to excess the agreed upon maximum price. This contract requires the AFD to successfully perform the contract and deliver conforming supplies or services for a price agreed to up front. This firm-fixed price contract is suitable for supplies and services that can be described in sufficient detail to ensure complete understanding of the requirements by both parties and assessment of the inherent risks of performance. AFD was awarded this contract due to the willingness to work with and provide the government good services. VectorCal and AFD are both eligible for the upcoming cost reimbursement contact for the government. There are several types of basic cost-reimbursement contracts. One in particular is the cost sharing contract; this contract will reimburse contractors agreed-upon share of its allowable costs. Meaning that whatever both parties agree upon the government will share the......

...he balanced scorecard is a strategic performance measurement system developed by Robert S. Kaplan and David P. Norton to help organizations achieve breakthrough results by embedding strategy at the heart of the organization. Developed 12 years ago, the concept was significantly different from any existing performance measurement system and generated considerable excitement. A variety of applications and variations of the balanced scorecard have emerged since its inception. It was received and used so enthusiastically and effectively that the Harvard Business Review labeled it in 1997 as one of the 75 most influential ideas of the 20th Century. 1 Early on, a navigation metaphor was used to illustrate the need for additional performance measures. Over time, the navigation metaphor expanded to include the process of strategic mapping and decisions about where to lead your company. This article outlines the evolution of the balanced scorecard. BALANCEDSCORECARD: THEINCEPTION In 1990, the Nolan Norton Institute, the research arm of KPMG, sponsored a one-year, multi-company study on the future of performance measurement. David Norton, CEO of Nolan Norton, was the study leader, and Robert Kaplan served as an academic consultant. The 12 companies that formed the original study group believed that the exclusive reliance on financial performance metrics alone was causing their companies to do the wrong things. Many of the activities that create organizational......

Why This Is Bollocks

...creating any article (except for a salting, which is only performed in dire cases). While these comparisons are not a conclusive test, they may form part of a cogent argument; an entire comment should not be dismissed because it includes a comparative statement like this. Plenty of articles exist that probably should not. Equally, a lot of articles do not exist that probably should. Therefore, just pointing out that an article on a similar subject exists does not prove that the article in question should also exist; it is quite possible that the other article should also be deleted but nobody has noticed it. However, threats to actually put these other articles forward for AfD after a debate closes may be interpreted as all-or-nothing reasoning. Sometimes arguments are made that other articles have been put forward for AfD and survived/deleted (the most famous example being the Pokémon test); these may be effective arguments, but even here caution should be used. In general, these deletion debates should focus mainly on the nominated article. In consideration of precedent and consistency, though, identifying articles of the same nature that have been established and continue to exist on Wikipedia may provide extremely important insight into general notability of concepts, levels of notability (what's notable: international, national, regional, state, provincial?), and whether or not a level and type of article should be on Wikipedia. When an editor introduces a novel type......

...Writing the Paragraphs in the First Draft (Outline) Introduction After prewriting your topic and organizing evidence it’s time to write a first draft. Your draft is only going to be a preliminary version of your final work, so don’t worry too much about grammar, spelling or the overall structure. Write your thesis and supporting paragraphs A. The topic sentences are usually at the beginning of each paragraph and state the main point in support of the thesis. B. Unify your sentences by writing about facts, opinions and/or examples that are directly related to the topic sentence of the same paragraph. C. Be specific in your paragraphs, provide the reader with answers to who, which, what and similar questions, concrete words, sensory images and strong verbs. D. Make paragraphs coherent by writing your ideas in chronological, spatial or emphatic order and using signal devices to show how ideas are connected. Write other background and transitional paragraphs A. Background paragraphs provide readers with additional information that doesn’t necessarily support the main thesis but helps them understand more about your topic. B. Transitional paragraphs may appear between supporting paragraphs summarizing what has been discussed so far to help the reader keep track of the discussion. Write the title, introduction and conclusion A. Titles can be written before or after the draft, a common title may be a repetition of sounds, a humoristic phrase or a......
