Introduction
Search engines are very important tools used in information mining. These web search engines vary in effectiveness in the way relevant documents are retrieved from the net or web. Being that a Web search engine can be able to retrieve lots of data or documents from the internet and that it’s very popular does not guarantee it high accuracy for relevant documents retrieval to its users. This paper critically analyses the most popular search engines like Google, Yahoo, by evaluating their effectiveness on search output quantity, relevancy on the document retrieved, search time, and search precision.
