...Informative Speech Introduction 1. In the contemporary world, underage drinking has become a global phenomenon especially in the developed countries such as in the US. As a result, the Oklahoma State has taken various measures to curb the vice. This is the reason behind the enactment of the Underage drinking laws-Social Host Law. The law was enacted in order to; a) Minimize the circumstances that lead to death of a minor or suffering physical injuries b) To enhance concentration at school especially for the minors c) To make societies responsible for their young people and develop virtues that would lead to productive work in future d) Promote healthy social life Body (Translation: I will begin by outlining the aspect of underage drinking, Oklahoma’s Social Host law and specifically where Cody’s law emanated from) 1. ...Ma. Sarah Katrina F. Santos June 16, 2014 11229888 SPEECOM - C32 Informative Speech How many of you thinks that having more customers is better than having fewer customers for a business? Can I see a show of hands? Alright. I presume that for those who said yes, which is the majority, raised their hand for the same reason. More customers mean more people buying and more people buying mean more profits for the company, isn’t it? Sounds sensible but I hate to break it to you but those of you who said yes are wrong. Today I will transform that thinking to exactly the opposite. I will introduce based on a new study the idea of ‘less is more’. Focusing on a smaller number of customers could help a company speed up growth, increase profit and improve long-term health. I am going to talk about how top companies gain customers, how they keep them and how these customers help them in expanding their business. They don’t need a lot of customers, just the right ones to keep them on top. First point is, fewer customers can speed up the company’s growth. Would you believe that some companies actually go out of business because of too many customers? Yes, that is true. The problem with these companies is they get very overwhelmed with the influx of customers that they forget to establish a connection with their customers. According to Forbes, this is one of the top 5 reasons why 8 out of 10 businesses fail - because they are not really in touch with their......

Informative Speech About Volleyball

...caused a side out or a point was taken away. In 1896 during a demonstration game, someone remarked to Morgan that the players seemed to be volleying the ball back and forth over the net, and perhaps "volleyball" would be a more descriptive name for the sport. Since the first creation of volleyball there has been many rule changes. For instance in 1900 the net height was raised to 7 feet, 6 inches, the dribbling line was eliminated, and the length of game was changed to 21 points. Another major rule change occurred in 2001 when they allowed the ball to touch the net while crossing it on the serve. Volleyball was first in the 1924 Olympic Games as a demonstration event, but the indoor game was not recognized until 1964. What is amazing about the Olympics is that men’s volleyball players can serve the ball at speeds exceeding 100 mph!! That’s so fast that when the other team digs or passes the ball they fall on their behinds. So if you thought that volleyball is only a girls sport you were very wrong! There are three main things you need to know how to do to be able to play volleyball. These three things are bumping also know as passing, setting, and hitting. An important skill for defense is called blocking. Bumping is the first and most basic step someone needs to learn to be able to play volleyball effectively. The pass starts with foot placement, athletic position and proper arm alignment. If you’re right handed, your right foot should be slightly in front of your......
