Jesus Reflection Essay Over the past several weeks I have not only used critical thinking skills but a true foundation of knowledge from far with in. I have been establishing not only my own thoughts of how Jesus came to be and understanding the bible as well as how other classmates view their knowledge and opinions which may differ from my own. I have always felt strongly about my feelings of God but have never come to discuss them. Christian Worldview really puts your knowledge and beliefs to a level of assessment and the ability to see into your morals and beliefs. First, we have miracles, the meaning of miracles were spoken throughout Mark 5, and John 11, verses that discover the power that Jesus is the Son of God who retains power over satan and his demons. He is a miracle worker when it comes to others, may they be strong or weak he guides them and leads them to do the right thing. The demand of limitations is also strong to believe that whatever happens may happen, let God lead the way through prayer. For the purpose of perspective, personal ambition and prophecy, Luke 22-24 describes the key understanding and meaning of Jesus, through death and resurrection. He is the savor and the power, to live forever and ever. Through him we can, with guidance and strength in our beliefs we can live on forever as well. Matthew 24 states another prophecy, destruction of Jerusalem or of the nation and the coming of God and his judgment on the destruction. However, I believe that the Bible, God and prayer all have true meaning in my day to day life. I have conquered many challenges throughout my life and have always overcome them all throughout having faith and understanding in the ability to reach out to God when necessary. Though I do not attend church on a daily basis, I have always had the strong presence of God in my…...

...My Final Reflection There are numerous aspects of this course that have contributed to my learning throughout this semester. This course has provided me with new skills that enhance both my writing ability as well as the ability to analyze a film. The two goals that stood out most were to learn to analyze and critically evaluate ideas, arguments, and points of view and to continue to develop skills in expressing oneself in writing. I benefited from these goals because I now have a deeper knowledge of different film genres and can correctly revise my essays. In order to display the progress made in my writing abilities throughout this semester I chose to revise and analyze Take Me Out to the Ball Game. This class introduced a new aspect of writing for me because I have never been required to analyze the scenes and themes of a film prior to taking this class. The film, Take Me Out to the Ball Game, is a musical comedy about a baseball team. My initial instinct was to classify this film as a simple sports film. However, after analyzing the film it was clear that there was more to it than just a sports perspective. The film had several other themes besides sports, two of which included patriotism and acceptance. It was very interesting to analyze the different relationships among the characters in this sport musical. Despite the different personalities of each character, I found it fascinating that they were so intertwined through their love for baseball and their country.......

Reflection Essay

...Reflective Essay The aim of this essay is to reflect on an incident, which took place in a hospital setting during the first month of my Foundation Degree Assistant Practitioner course. It will explore the importance of communication amongst the health care professionals and how a good nursing documentation is an integral part of nursing. It will also demonstrate how reflection enabled me to make sense of and learn from this experience, as well as identify any further learning developments needed to improve my practice and achieve the level of competency needed for when I qualify as an assistant practitioner. While discussing the knowledge underpinning practice, evidence based literature will be reviewed to support my discussion and for the purpose of reflection the essay will be written in the first person. Spouse, J, et al (2008). Jonhs, C (2009) defined reflection as learning through our every day experiences, towards realising one’s vision of desirable practice as a lived reality. He also added that it is a critical and a flexible process of self inquiry and transformation of being and becoming the practitioner you desire to be. However, Ghaye, T et al. (2000) stated that for the health care professionals to develop a more reflective posture, they must fully embrace both the principles and the practices of reflection. It is about becoming more aware of how we learn and how this affects what we think, feel and do. There are different models for reflection; some are......

Jesus Reflection

...August 17, 2013 Christian Worldview Mrs. Farley Jesus Reflection Essay What I learned from the Jesus film was about his teaching. I have to say he preached a lot of good words and I wished I can see various people practice his words in society and cultural. There are some people who follow and read the Bible to start their life on a righteous path and there are some that I see our falling into sins and wrong choices in life. In the book of Matthew I think Jesus was teaching the people how to carefully listen to one another and follow the rules and they will forever parish in God’s Kingdom. The teaching goes along with cultural because families and churches can keep the traditions going and they too can teach their children and new converts what lessons Jesus has taught to follow the rules of life. In the film Jesus preach about forgiveness, and taught the people about the rules that God have provided them with. I read Matthew 5-7 and there is a rule that said “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves” (Matthew 7:15, ESV). In today society there are a few people who believe in false prophet hood for an example there are devil worshiper and they believe in Satan as their true God. The book of Matthew has a lot of words of wisdom and I see why my friends have such good morals, because they follow the rules. My friend’s churches have Food Drive and help out with the homeless a lot, the same situation with my......

...Reflection Essay This first semester of my freshman has been a very interested trip indeed. I have learned so much in the short amount of time that I have spent here at Georgia Southern University. I feel as if I have grown, not only as a student, but as a person as well. I have met many new people, made many new friends, and learned many new things. I have so much in my English class. I thought I knew everything there was to know about writing, but I was very wrong. However, I have now learned how to improve on my writing skills, how to write better grammatically correct sentences, and how to use better verb usage. When I came into this semester as a freshman I was very confident in the caliber of my writing. However, my ego was soon crushed shortly thereafter. Even though my writing skills had been very good amongst my fellow peers in high school, at the university level they were merely average. I had to do something quick to learn how improve on my writing skills. With the help of my teacher, I have made tremendous improvements and strides on my writing skills. I believe that I am writing the best papers that I have ever written in my life. I am avidly anticipating the beginning of next semester when I take English 1102, because I cannot wait to see my writing skills improve again. When writing, it is very important that your sentences are grammatically correct. Nothing can ruin a paper faster than a couple of incorrect grammatical errors. I was good about not......

Reflection Essay

...The Goal The book reflects a lot on my school work and personal life. It talks about operations management, bottlenecks, and experiences that put those concepts into practice. In this essay, I want to focus on my response specifically on constraints and how it applies to my experiences in life. The Theory of Constraints takes on the idiom “a chain is no stronger than it weakest link.” The book refers the weakest link as “Herbie.” This means that the weakest person can have a negative impact to the whole and ultimately damage the outcome. This definition shocks me a little because I’ve always thought a company or a team can function smoothly even with a bottleneck. There is always going to be someone (or something) that works less efficiently than average. Similarly, there is always going to be someone (or something) that works more efficiently than others and can pick up the slack for the team. Eventually everything averages out and we produce enough outcomes to meet our goals. However, that is not the case because the performance of the whole team is not determined by the star player, but by the “Herbie” player in the team. As a third year commerce school student, I’ve had a lot of opportunities to work on different group projects. Every time the professor releases the new teams, most people hope they have someone that is good in finance, strategy, or accounting (depending on the project) in their group so he/she can carry the team. However, after reading the book, I......

...English 1320 Unit 11 Exercise 1: Reflection Essay Antonio Parks R. Schaffer 03/06/14 I really didn’t care for writing at all before this course. I had not written anything longer than a sentence in over 35 years. My mind was clouded and I didn’t take time to write. When asking me “What type of essay had I written before this course”? My response is very simple. I have not written anything, well if you count writing a journal in the 8th grade then that would be it. My writing has improved immensely. I can write and wasn’t aware that I could. The essay that was the easiest to write for me was the memoir. I found that writing about something that I knew about gave me more control over my audience. The essay that would have been the hardest for me would have been romance. I guess I’m not quit in touch with my other side to write romance. My attitude toward writing at the end of the course is one of great interest. I have learned to enjoy it. I believe if I actually spent the time to write, I could get lot better and enjoy it more. Using my ePortfolio in the future will help me prepare for the job market in the future. Listing my classes, accomplishments, and posting my resume are the primary reasons for the portfolio. Thank you Mr.Schaffer for helping me realize again how important writing is in my everyday life. I will do my best to continue to grow....

Reflection Paper; Jesus: the Missing History

...REFLECTION PAPER Last November 13, 2014, our section watched a Discovery Channel Documentary entitled “Jesus: The Missing History” that was hosted by a biblical scholar Kent Dobson. The documentary focuses on the truthfulness of what is written in the Bible regarding the life of Jesus Christ. The documentary has this strong impact on me that the same questions that the speaker, Kent Dobson, have in his mind. Since I was a child I have cling to the Bible verse in John 20:29 saying “Blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed.” This line was said by Jesus Christ to His disciple Thomas when he doubted the resurrection of Christ. And after having the same questions as Kent Dobson and, somehow, the same doubt as disciple Thomas has I have cling more to the Bible verse in John 20:29. Aside from that, life of Jesus Christ is written in the Holy Bible which, according to Institute for Creation Research online article, is historically testable. Moreover, the Institute for Creation Research stated on their article entitled Biblical Data are Historically Testable that there were these two of the greatest 20th-century archaeologists named William F. Albright and Nelson Glueck who both lauded the Bible as being the single most accurate source document from history. And even though the two archaeologists were non-Christian and secular in their training and personal beliefs, they emphasize that the Bible has been found to be accurate in its places, dates, and records of......

Reflection Essay

...Unit 11: Reflection Essay At the start of this semester my feelings towards writing altogether was extremely negative, whether it was writing a short one paragraph letter or a five page essay I wanted nothing to do with it. Never seeing the point, I have always had a hard time just starting the essay. I could not find the inspiration to write what was needed to create the work of literature my teacher expected of me. With that being said, I can honestly admit that I have never actually completed any writing assignments out of class and next to none of the assignments done in class. Needless to say I have probably failed all but one year in English classes, and the one I passed was because the teacher received a death threat from a student and left the school. Most of the teachers simply spent his/her time keeping me in line so as not to distract the other students. This semester, however, I definitely feel my writing has improved. I have a better understanding of how to structure my entire paper, whether its sentence structure or paragraph layout, what parts of speech should not be used in a paper and to limit my use of contractions. This class has also taught me to spend more time outside of school working on perfecting my work which I plan to take into later classes. All of these changes were made possible because for the first time I had a teacher who was able to make the subject enjoyable and fun. I definitely had the easiest time with the assignments that allowed me......

Jesus Reflection Essay

...Jesus Reflection Essay The Messianic Prophecies tell us from hundreds of years before Jesus was born God was telling His people about him. “For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us: And the government will rest upon his shoulders and his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6) God gave us information regarding the Savior and where he would come from in the earliest prophecies. Like “There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace. On the throne of David and over his kingdom,” (Isaiah 9:7a) God also gave us some hints at what the Messiah would have to suffer for His people, ”But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5) There were also many details around the Messiah’s life and death that were included in the early writings of the prophets. These gave details of things that the Messiah would have to fulfill. “His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet He was with a rich man in his death, because He had done no violence, nor was there any deceit in His Mouth.” (Isaiah 53:9) Since he had nothing He would not have had, a grave like the one he was buried in except a rich man gave them his Grave. The Miracles that Jesus performed as recorded in the gospels were evidence of his claim to be God. The demoniac at Gerasene was......

Reflection Essay

...Unit 11 Exercise 1: Reflection Essay Over the course of these last eleven weeks I have discovered more about my writing skills than I thought I had. In the beginning I had neutral feelings about how well I would do in this course. I’ve always known that I had good writing techniques, but have been out of school for over 10 years and wasn’t sure if I could still write like how I used to. When I was in high school I remember writing essays, research papers, and even memoirs but was only the basics of how to properly write. It gave me practice on my vocabulary as well as sentence and paragraph structure. It also allowed my imagination and thoughts to come out on paper and let the reader indulge in my stories. But how good of a writer was I? After taking a course called Composition 1 in college, I found that my writing skills; even though pretty good, had to be improved. I feel that my writing has improved due to learning how to properly brainstorm ideas and set up my research findings before I put them on my final paper. I also learned how to cite my findings which is a skill they don’t stress about in High School. Writing Essays, or Research Papers aren’t difficult for me, however I must say that writing a Memoir would have to be the most difficult because I don’t like talking about myself let alone have people know personal details of my life. Now that I’m at the end of my course in Composition 1 My attitude and feelings toward writing now has changed. I feel more...

Reflection Essay

...Reflection Essay #2 Populations-at-Risk America is the richest country in the world but, yet we are so poor. There are millions of Americans who are unemployed or underemployed. I believe it starts with education. Higher education is more important now more than ever. Everyone should be afforded the same opportunity to go to college and achieve a degree. Education is the key to success and should be more affordable. A quality education would provide a better life and better opportunities for all Americans. I would promote and be an advocate for social and economic justice by ensuring every student receives the same quality education, starting in elementary schools. Elementary schools need to be better equipped with all the tools students need to be successful. There should be enough books and computers for every child. I would require more art and music classes so student’s creativity will be allowed to flourish. There would be smaller classrooms so students are able to have a personal connection with the teachers. Teachers will be able to have more one on one time with each student, and be able to give more attention to any students who are struggling in a certain area. Elementary schools should ensure that all students get the tools they need for future success. Good teachers are essential in the success of students. Teachers play an important role in the lives of students. Therefore there should be more highly qualified and motivated teachers. Teachers......

... Reflection Essay Student’s Name Institution Affiliation Date Reflection Essay Firstly, in the course of the semester, the discussions we had in class allowed us to talk about my thoughts and those of my cohorts. Simultaneously, the studies helped to shape my initial experiences into a more unpredictable comprehension of the content. As I added to my perusing attitudes and insight into what literature is about, I have developed the capacity to make necessary disclosures about anything that I write or even read. Secondly, the academic resources from my lecturers gave us the foundation information that we need to excel in writing, both on reading the class resource books, extensive lectures, and independent research. Likewise, they have assisted us to exhibit our thoughts in a contemplated and thoughtful analysis. On a frequent basis, they would instruct us on points that they have a particular enthusiasm for and have taken a shot at broadly. Their exploration and analysis can be considered as the foundation stage of our interest in writing. To start with, in the contemporary society, there is by all accounts a move towards auxiliary school subjects that have a solid connection to a tertiary course of study. Hence, a there are few parents and a few understudies who feel that the aspect of writing, particularly among high schools, college, and universities is of great importance. For instance, students who devote their time on just English Language alone, with its......

...required ENG 105 course. Immediately, I thought that this course would be easy because all we will do is write essays. I thought I would be fully prepared by just going over Grammar rules and standardized test tips. In retrospect, after I have attended the class for almost the entire semester, I never expected to learn a new process of writing. During my time at high school, we never went over multiple stages of reflections, revisions, or writing skills. I usually just wrote for my enjoyment or for an assignment. I strongly believe that if I had learned these processes in high school, my papers would have benefitted greatly. As this semester comes to an end, I look back at everything I have accomplished in this class. I have acquired many writing techniques through annotations, in – class assignments, and multiple essays. Because of this, I have improved tremendously as a writer. Throughout the time I have spent in this writing course, I was reminded of how effective writing can be. As I further analyze my writing, I realized that I have learned how to become a real writer. The essays included will demonstrate the tremendous amount of strength I have gained in writing this semester. I believe that I am good organizing my writing in terms of placement and topics of each body paragraph. An example of this is in my first essay about my literacy sponsors. I organized the essay by beginning each body paragraph with a sentence that corresponds to the last sentence of the paragraph......

...Comparative Religion Reflection Essay Reflection Essay My Religion and Malloy’s Eight Elements I was born and raised in the Lutheran Church with a strong belief system. As of recent years, I have opted to not attend church services, but still feel very strong about the beliefs that I was raised with. There are a few beliefs that I was raised with that I don’t buy into, such as the belief that god created earth and all things on it in 6 days. There is far too much scientific evidence to suggest that evolution has and is constantly taking place. Despite this, I do thing that our belief system plays a very important part in my life. For me, community does not play as big of a role in my belief system. I tend to believe that one does not necessarily need to attend church to worship god. I do that every day in my daily life. I am so thankful for my friends, family, life and everything in it. This has been my dad’s feeling for a very long time and I tend to follow him. We do have several central myths that we believe in. All of these myths are told in the bible and are stories that we learn from the time we are young children. I remember going to bible camp when I was in elementary and junior high school. We would go for a week and always on the last night of camp, the counselors put on what was called the Passion Play. The play was the story of the last few days of Jesus’ life, his crucifixion, and how he rose from the dead. I have such vivid memories of...

...RefJ. Tuzzolo THEO 104-C07 LUO Spring Semester 2010 April 4, 2010 Jesus Christ Reflection Paper I. Introduction Jesus. This one name will bring out many different emotions. This one name will bring millions of people together to worship the God who holds this name. This one name will be cursed by man. This one name will be the topic of many discussions and heated debates. This one name is the name under which man will be saved. This name is not just a name; this name is Jesus Christ, Savior of the world, Jesus Christ the Son of God. This name is the name by which millions of people live their lives on a daily basis. This name is the name in which thousands of churches love their community. Through the name of Jesus power is given to powerless, strength to the weak, love to the loveless and hope to the hopeless. II. Section One – Jesus is God Jesus Christ claimed to be God. So what? A man who walked on this earth claimed to be God. Does this claim make this statement true? The man who claims to be Jesus Christ would have to “demonstrate God-like moral attributes of holiness, love and goodness. He would also have to back up His claim with demonstrations of power, vast knowledge and omnipresence.” (The Deity of Christ). There are eight aspects to Jesus’ claim to this deity. The eight aspects are as follows: 1. Jehovistic I AM 2. Old Testament Adonai 3. Identifies Himself with God in the baptismal formula 4. Be one with the......
