...Swot Analysis Anthony Rahaman BUS/210 08/7/2014 Michael Moore I have chosen to do a SWOT analysis on the internet café business, Java Net. As I was going through the business plan I noticed that there was a SWOT analysis done already by Java Net. First I was very impressed by the structure of their business plan and the information that was in it. The fact they did their own analysis told me there was much research done prior to doing their business plan. The challenge I then took on was to compare my analysis to theirs to see if I could find any discrepancies or improvements with their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. As I have stated, the business model Java Net has set up is a very well developed and researched one. They did a market survey to see if there would be a need for such services, what types of groups they could market to and how much people would be willing to pay for such services. The staff seems to be knowledgeable and the owners are willing to train the staff on all the technology. The desire to provide an environment that encourages social interaction, “How to” classes with top of the line equipment. I am in agreement with Java Net’s analysis of their strengths. There are several weaknesses I see that are not to different from what Java Net found. One major weakness is technology and how quickly it changes. Since Java Net is considered a cyber-café, all technology including the internet must be up-to-date. Keeping up the......

...SWOT Analysis Strengths Our marketing plan for Camp Istrouma helps to point out several strengths in the company. These strengths include location, size, opportunities, long history, and a healthy market for Christian organizations in southern Louisiana. The camp features 162 acres of south Louisiana woodlands with miles of nature trails and a seven-acre recreational lake. Some of the activities offered at the camp include swimming, low rope, canoeing, and a climbing wall. The camp also has a detailed website that not only provides an abundance of information, but can also guide parents through the registration process. One of the camps most important strengths is the caring Christian staff that take pride in their strong leadership skills. Weaknesses The greatest weakness for Camp Istrouma is the opportunity cost that parents face when deciding which camp to send their kids to. The problem arises when the value of your camp has to outweigh the value of others. If your camp doesn’t outweigh the value of others, then parents may choose to send their kids elsewhere. Opportunities The opportunities lie in your ability to reach your market efficiently and effectively which would produce high demand and acceptance. There are several advertising techniques to reach your market. Some of these are radio, television, internet, and newspaper. Another opportunity for Camp Istrouma is fundraising. Incorporating fundraising into your......

Corporate History Crayola Manufacturing is a 120 year old company that makes safe, dependable art supplies for children. Because most consumers have never heard of Binney & Smith, the Crayola maker changed its name in 2007 to reflect its brand name. Crayola has many different lines of products; as well as services, which vary from just crayons and markers. They produce 3 billion crayons a year, plus craft and character licensed activities. This SWOT analysis is about Crayola. Crayola began as Binney & Smith back in 1885 when Joseph Binney partnered with his son and nephew. Binney and Smith sold their first Crayola crayons in 1903, when a box of eight cost only a nickel. The small business began in New York and moved to Easton, Pennsylvania (where they remain today), producing the dustless chalk. In 1958 the Crayola 64-crayon box, which included 16 new colors and a built-in sharpener, made its debut on the "Captain Kangaroo Show." This Crayola box "became part of the collective history and experiences of generations of Americans, and a symbol of the color and fun of childhood." Crayola estimates that the average U.S. child wears down 730 crayons by age ten. And, in the same spirit, the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History placed an actual 1958 Crayola 64-crayon box and an assortment of 20th century Crayola......
