Marketing
Marketing in my own words is displaying and producing a product properly to meet the social expectations or trends. Marketing also involves properly targeting clientele, being creative and aware of economics.
“Marketing is the performance of activities that seek to accomplish an organization’s objectives by anticipating customer or client needs and directing a flow of need satisfying goods and services from producer to customer or client.” (Perreault, Cannon, & McCarthy, 2011).
“Marketing is about identifying and meeting human and social needs. One of the shortest good definitions of marketing is “meeting needs profitably.” (Kotler & Keller, 2012).
Marketing is extremely important in organizational success in fact marketing may be the most important thing in organizational success. While management, finances and job skills can be learned and so long as good protocol is followed these areas will be successful. Marketing on the other hand requires an intuition a good eye and sense of what is trending or what can be a successful trend. Marketing is not just a commercial or a bill board it is fine tuning a product to meet consumers demands in every way. Marketing also has a social and ethical responsibility, it can and does influence society both young and old not only in what is trendy or necessity it also influences what is socially acceptable. Marketing affects everything and everything can be used in marketing. Marketing is the foundation of any good business, several businesses have been successful because of there ability to properly market there product and develop products to shape the success of that company. Businesses that have become successful because of good marketing and continue to be successful because of good marketing are Mc. Donald’s, Nike, REACH Air Medical Services.

Indeed there is more structure needed to the marketing piece to sustain a successful business. Being that the industry of motorcycles is increasing annually. Key components in my opinion are the product uniqueness, safety, quality engineering and price. Situation Current situation is the fact that there needs to be an significant market plan put in place to help increase sales and meet the needs of young and older customers. There are fundamental assets that focus on 35-50 year olds. As well as 21-35 year olds who are buying motorcycles. The older clientele seem to be not interested in the current lifestyles that Cruiser Thorr symbolizes. However the younger customers do not have the disposable funds to buy the motorcycles. They prefer a lower cost that fits into their budget. Other concerns are factors related to their competitors. The worst part is that the competitors are eating into their market share. In which they are consuming the majority of the business. You’re......

...was an interesting part to do to see where the attributes fall on the map and using this map is a great way to see how the market is responding and then give a visual aid to that market snapshot. There are several similarities between positioning and differentiation in products. They both work hand in hand in marketing to help increase market share and product awareness. The right balance between where the product is placed and then how to differentiate the product is key to increasing the products overall sales. Where the product is positioned and sold is key, because it is important to promote items where they get the most exposure to right audience to gain maximum sales. Differentiation is also important because all customers are individuals and each customer likes different things, so it is important to appeal to this individuality by offering variations of product to maximize sales. So offering different variations on product and them selling them in the proper position are crucial to gaining maximum sales of a product. The repositioning of the product went as I had expected, because I figured that offering a new product that will appeal to a younger crowd will help us increase our overall sales by gaining new customers, but then also help us bring people back to our old product. The results were as I expected, the new product performed well and increased in sales over three years, and the old product line also showed an increase in sales over three years versus......

They also found that until recently that by leasing buildings with short term leases they were able to provide a convenient place for their customers to shop. Most recently they have begun to build their own stores in order to better maximize the customer experience, but this is also due to the fact that Dollar General has their products shipped to a warehouse who is connected to their inventory system to send items from the warehouse to the stores instead of having items shipped directly from the manufacturer to the retail stores itself. It is always a good idea to have a plan in place of the places that employment is desired. Then research those companies and determine what the best way to present a resume is. It is always a good idea to research the companies to begin with in order to come to a good determination as to whether or not this company is one that is good to work for. There are four businesses that I researched and have submitted my resume and applications. I will discuss which companies I chose, why I chose them and the steps that I took in order to present myself to their HR Departments. I have been doing this for the past 3 years, so I have some good references and a little bit knowledge as to how some of these companies perform their hiring process. As you spend time with other peer marketing managers, you realize that the company doesn’t place an emphasis on planning within the marketing organization. Why is planning important in marketing? What are the essential components of a marketing plan? How would you convince your supervisor that the marketing department should produce formal marketing plans? Answers to the question above: Planning is important part of the marketing strategy in most cases because when it comes to an organization that doesn’t see the value in such a program, it’s usually a one shot deal to prove its profitability or worth. The essential components of a marketing plan are as follows: strengthen the brand, measuring marketing effectiveness, drive new product development, gather customer insights, utilizing new marketing technology to target this new group of consumers One of the ways in which I would convince my supervisor that a marketing department should produce formal marketing plans is by showing them the various missed opportunities. After all, the whole point of a business is to build upon those opportunities and build greater customer equity. “Customer equity refers to the expected earnings from a firm’s current or prospective customers.” Conducting a S.W.O.T.......
