My name is Corey Danvers, 18 years old, and a freshman at Lindenwood University. I’m from Ft Lauderdale Florida, I’ve lived there my whole life. My parents are from Kingston and Rock River Jamaica. As a child I always had a big head and a skinny body, but I always participated in various sports such as soccer, flag football, and baseball. I was never athletic so it was hard for me to flourish in soccer. It took me 3 years to score 1 goal for the team I played for but I was a pretty good defender when it came down to it. As a child I always liked watching TV, my favorite cartoon was and still is Tom and Jerry. Even though none of the characters spoke a single word I found very funny. I would sit in front of the TV for hours with my legs folded and my mom would get mad that I was sitting so close to the TV. Eventually all that close TV watching caught up to me because now my eyes are messed up to the point where I can’t see anything from far away. In middle school, I got a little taller but I looked like a stick figure with long limbs. As I grew physically my athletic ability turned for the good. When I played flag football, I became one of the top players in that organization. I had my own little fan club from opposing teams. Their parents would yell out “watch out for number 38” and it always me made smile. It made me feel like I was doing this sport as a job, like Dwayne wade when he plays the Chicago Bulls. 12 pounds later, my dad finally thought it was time for me to play tackle football. I was probably the most underweight player on the team at the time. I had a passion for dressing up in the uniform, it made me feel so good to say I was part of a team, even though I probably didn’t see much playing time I was always excited to attend a game Academically, I was and okay student. Throughout my academic career math had always been my strongest subject. Every summer my dad would always have a work book with my name on it with bold letters. I kind of appreciate that work book now because it made my life easier. English was always the trickiest subject to me. The hardest part of me, is reading boring passages and having to retain the information to answer multiple choice questions and every answer was basically the same thing. My freshman year in high school I wasn’t the best apple on the tree. There was no control over the entire school, we would skip classes and go to all the lunch periods. Our cafeteria was probably the size of 3 class rooms together, but we had great food though, pizza hut, chicken wraps, and the best thing to this day buffalo wings. I would save my money up for the week just to purchase 6 beautiful wings in a container smothered in buffalo sauce looking juicy as ever. Sophomore year I decided to try out wrestling for the first time. It’s probably the hardest sport out there in my opinion. There’s so much conditioning to do just to play one match. It honestly helped me out both physically and mentally by making more aggressive and I eventually started to put on muscle. Junior and senior was the best years for me. Even though I spent so much time studying for the Act and Sat, I enjoyed the free time I had. I went on vacation to bush gardens. I’m afraid of heights but I had to overcome that fear due to my cousin persuading me. Shekra was the scariest ride I’ve been on in my life so far, it goes 70mph up a ramp then stops and the top of it and allows you see people walking into the park and drops you down without a warning leaving your stomach doing backflips and your mouth dry. Senior grad bash was good I got to see pitbull live in concert and the best part I was excused from school for the day. Prom was probably only time I dressed up for any event it was memorable and I hope to create more memories in college.…...

Hundreds of tourists travel to this site every year, many in expensive RV’s. Some come in their regular cars, to stop by on a nice day. The RV drivers are typically excellent tourists with an entire summer trip planned out, stopping at as many sight seeing places as they can. Where the four corners meet is not very exciting. It is more about what it signifies. This is the only place in the entire United States where four of the states meet a a single point.
