...Current Events in Business Research RES/351 Current Events in Business Research Introduction: This paper will describe the business research process of an article that I have chosen that is close to the area of management within a business that I will be using. I have chosen the article “Optimal spares and preventive maintenance frequencies for constrained industrial systems” P. Lynch 2013, to assess the research process used. Also, I will be discussing how the research is solving the problem. Finally I will identify other potential applications using business research. The research Problem: This case study is about the spare parts for maintenance, and it tries to give an explanation thru research for how a genetic algorithm can be made to make a model of what types of spare parts you will need with an accurate inventory. I find this article very interesting because this is one my problems at work that I’m trying to tackle. And giving an analogical approach to resolve my issue could be useful. This will be a great chance to practice my new skills in research. The Research Process Used: The research used a problem definition to clearly examine the problems that the research will help avoid or correct. The research has an outlined proposal has to how the problem could be resolved by using the genetic algorithm. I feel that the research was performed with high ethical standards to achieve the final results. The limitations are clearly defined with the......

The group is asserting that these materials are causing an environmental hazard that is seeping from a local landfill into a nearby stream. The group has also launched an internet campaign geared toward compelling fruit producers to stop purchasing our packing materials. The situation raises environmental issues that relate directly to the Clean Water Act and the Solid Waste Disposal Act. The overall goal of the Clean Water Act is to eliminate the discharge of pollutants in the navigable waters of the United States (Bagley, p.487). To be in violation of the Clean Water Act, the SafePack Materials Pollute group must have several elements present to prove a valid claim towards our company. First, the group must be able to prove that our product is truly the cause of the seepage from the landfill into the nearby stream. Other evidence that may be used as proof may include testimony from witnesses, photographs or video tapes. The group must also be able to prove if our company does or does not have a NPDES permit. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, a NPDES......

... Race and Crimes Raymond Washington Strayer University CRJ 105 Crime And Criminal Behavior Dr. Robert Roth October 19, 2015 In America today race plays a major role on how disciplines of criminology and criminal justice are used. Especially for African Americans who made up roughly 27 percent of arrest in the United States which is 1 out of 4 of every young black male.
