Request for Comments
Request for Comments documents (RFC) were made-up by Steve Crocker in 1969 to aid record of unofficial notes on the expansion of ARPANETA. RFC (Request for Comments) is an official document from IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) that is the outcome of the committee drafting and successive review by the interested parties. Generally RFC is prepared by computer scientists and engineers in the form of a memorandum unfolding methods, research, behaviors, or innovations pertinent to the working of the Internet and other Internet-connected systems.
The Request for Comments series consists of three sub-series for IETF RFCs: 1. BCP- Best Current Practice, compulsory IETF RFCs not on standards track. 2. FYI- for Your Information, RFCs promoted by the IETF as given in RFC 1150. In 2011, RFC 6360 outdated FYI 1 and accomplished this sub-series. 3. STD- Standard, this the third and maximum maturity level of the IETF standards track specified in RFC 2026. The authorized International Standard sequential Number (ISSN) of the RFC series is 2070-1721.
Internet Drafts
Internet Drafts or I-Ds are a sequence of working papers published through the IETF. Usually, these are drafts for the RFCs, but possibly other works in evolution are not projected for the publicizing as RFCs. Internet Drafts are anticipated to stick to the central requirements obligatory on RFCs. Internet Drafts are generally valid for six months, except they are replaced by a new version or they are under official evaluation by the IESG. Internet Drafts shaped by the IETF working groups and they follow the naming convention like draft-ietf-<wg>-<name>-<version number>.txt. The IAB, RFC Editor, and other small or big institutions connected with the IETF can also produce Internet Drafts. They follow this naming principle: draft-<org>-<name>-<sequence number>.txt

Production of Internet Drafts and Request for Comments documents The authorized source of RFCs on the World Wide Web is the RFC Editor. RFC Editor gives each RFC a sequential number. Once the number is given and published, an RFC is cannot be rescinded or changed. If the paper needs amendments or any changes, the authors print an updated document.
The production process of RFC is different from the customary process of official standards organizations like ISO. Standards-track RFCs are available and published with prior authorization from the IETF, and they are generally formed by experts who participate in working groups, who first publish an Internet Draft. This method facilitates primary rounds of rake review before documents mature into RFCs. The RFC custom of practical, experience-driven, after-the-fact standards authorship completed by small working groups or individuals can have significant benefits over the more official procedure distinctive of ISO and other national standard bodies. Most RFCs use a familiar set of terms such as "NOT RECOMMENDED" and "MUST" as a meta-language, and easy text-based formatting to keep the RFCs steady and simple to understand.
Now days when chief technologies of the Internet have developed and Internet has grown to comprise of many non-technical people, the need for RFCs has reduced or diminished. Still some RFCs are being shaped for chief-edge research in Internet-based networking.

...Core Marker’s Comment Sheet Course Name: Advanced External Auditing (AU2) Assignment: 2 Modules: 1 to 4 Overview of Module 3: In your prerequisite auditing course, you learned that the financial statement auditor conducts the audit by preparing an audit plan in the context of an overall audit strategy. This strategy assesses risks, taking into account the size of the organization, the complexity and nature of client operations, and the objectives of the audit. This module builds on your understanding of the audit risk model and the audit process. The focus is on auditing the business as management operates it through the strategic systems auditing (SSA) approach. You learn how to revise the audit strategy in response to the nature of the client’s business and assessed risks. For example, you examine the effects of complex information systems and the quality of corporate governance over enterprise risk management, information systems security, and information technology management. You also relate the analysis of business performance to the financial statements. Overview of Module 4: In Module 4, you study the effect of information systems on control risk, considering both manual and automated procedures. After reviewing the overall effect on the financial statement audit and in particular on the audit of internal controls, you consider the phases of the COSO control framework. You also look at the types of controls and how these controls are audited for common......

...Freedom to Comment Reflection Miranda Davis HSM/230 April, 27,2014 There are many instances where I can think of being a part of a group and strongly disagreeing with the actions of the group based on ethical grounds. That is part of growing up. We all will face a sort of peer pressure in life t some point. The one instance in my life that really stick out where I was totally against the group happened when I was in college. I worked at clothing store at the local mall. One of the requirements for working there was that you had to wear the clothes that were sold there or clothes similar to them. After working there for a month or so I stumbled upon a few of the girls taking clothes off the shelf and putting them in the back room. I was then told that sometimes the girls there would “borrow the clothes and wear them to work in that day and then put them back on the shelf for customers to buy. I did speak up and tell them I thought it was wrong. They then informed me that even the manager of the store did it. That she would even get merchandise and take it home and keep the tags there and pay for some of the stuff a little bit along. I was in shock. I proceeded by calling the home office and calling the district manager and reporting the issue. A few weeks later the district manager came in the store. I was then fired. All the girls told the district manager that I was causing arguments within the group and I was a trouble maker. I did find out later......

...General Course Comments and Expectations Take a minute or so and CAREFULLY read the syllabus and the supplemental information to see what will be required of you in the course and what you will be expected to do over the next eight weeks. This course will require you to spend some time in completing it. The course outcomes are not difficult to achieve but they are time consuming. It is not unusual for students to spend 20 hours or more on this course every week during the first four weeks. After that time, for the most part, the course workload does decrease to a somewhat lower level. PLEASE, please become familiar with the grading philosophy and the grading rubrics that will be used in this course. There are 200 possible points in this course and the points allocated to each of the written assignments are self-explanatory. I will use one grading rubric for each of the individual one page written assignments in this course. There is no rubric for the case studies, but there are guidelines for them in the supplemental material. The written assignment rubrics will be returned to you when I return the feedback on the assignment. I will attach an “answer” sheet with each written assignment, including case studies. I will also use a rubric to grade your participation in this course. I will grade and return the individual participation rubrics to you each week. There are two grading rubrics, therefore, that will be used in the course. These grading rubrics are posted......

...Interaction with Managers and Users Before beginning a preliminary investigation, a memo or an e-mail message would be sent out to managers and employees to know about the investigation and explain my role as a systems analyst. I would meet with key managers, users, and IT staff to describe the project, explain my responsibilities, answer questions, and invite comments. This starts an important dialog with users that will continue throughout the entire development process. When interacting with users, I would highlight the point that this investigation is not about a problem that Riordan Manufacturing has, but rather the additional capability that the company would like to have. This would help employees to not focus on desirable new features and enhancements rather than on current system limitations. Instead of focusing on difficulties, I would question users about additional capability they would like to have. Using this approach, I hope to highlight ways to improve the user’s job, get a better understanding of operations, and build better, more positive relationships with users. INFORMATION-GATHERING TECHNIQUES A. Analyze Organization charts. This would give me a fair understanding of how the department functions and identify individuals I might want to interview, keeping in mind that organization charts show formal reporting relationships but not the informal alignment of a group, which also is important. B. Conduct Interviews The primary method of obtaining......

Founded by Dr. Riordan, a professor of chemistry, he wanted to use existing patents to create a better plastic. He later bought a fan manufacturing company and became Riordan Manufacturing. Today Riordan Manufacturing is projected to earn $46 million annually and employs over 550 employees. With Riordan Manufacturing expanding the company needs to expand their Human Resources program to better the effectiveness of work within the department. Interested Stockholders The CEO and President Michael Riordan is the main stockholder because he is who signs everyone’s checks. The Director of Human Resources would be beneficial to gather information from because he/she is the one running the department and knows the applications they are using now. Chief Operating Officer, Executive Assistant, and the Senior Vice President are stockholders we should gather information from as well. The Chief Operating Officer knows what every department is using to accomplish their work and can give feedback on certain applications being used. The Executive Assistant is good to gather information from as well because they know more than others about what is happening around the manufacturing plant. A couple floor employees working in the Human Resources Department would be useful as well because they use the programs on a daily basis......
