But still this doesn’t make you really happy in life. Then a question will sudden blown you up and be pause and reflect. What is my purpose in life? For what was I born for? What is my mission(s)?
Then I start praying and asking God, what is your plan for me? What do you want me to do? All I asked is to have a meaningful life on earth. Guide me to the path you want me to walk through. Show me the light so that I may not go to the opposite side.

The Mission

...The Mission The movie ‘’The Mission’’ takes place in 1750 in South America. The mission was to try to protect a remote South American Indian tribe in danger of falling under the rule of the pro-slavery Portugal. The mission is based on the events surrounding the Treaty of Madrid, in which Spain ceded part of the South America to Portugal. The territory included seven Jesuits mission and colonized Indian tribes. To the Spanish, the Indians were good Christians. To the Portuguese, they were better slave’s local missionaries and Indians in short were embroiled in a hopeless power struggle involving two great Kingdoms and the Vatican. The movie demonstrates graphically form a normal human point of view. The two main reasons the mission is threatened are imperialism and greed. Greed is excessive desire to acquire or possess more than that one needs or deserves, especially with respect to material wealth. In this movie, that translates into how the Portuguese only wanted to gain these lands for profit. Since natives lived there, the Portuguese wanted to gain the land so they could trade slaves there. This was the reason Mendoza disregarded his vows and fought against the Portuguese. The other reason, imperialism, is the policy of extending a nation’s authority by territorial acquisition on by the establishment of economic and political domination over the nations. The movie involves ‘’Captain Rodrigo Mendoza,’’ who played by Robert De Miro, is a Spanish......

Searching Foranswers

...Paul E. Garcia Professor Jeremy Pilarski English Composition I 13 November 2012 Searching for Answers Its reputation so grand, that hardly anyone doubts its authenticity. A book so old, yet few ask of its origin. All we are told is that its author is God. In some cases, it is all a civilization has ever known. To believe in the Bible in our era with so little proof and evidence seems difficult to many of us. Apparently, faith is stronger, and it’s what keeps religion alive. But there has to be something beyond that. Something that’s more reliable and firm. That is why we search for answers. Unfortunately, faith isn’t always enough. The four main gospels in the Bible that we know of are those of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. What most of us don’t know is that these weren’t the only ones written. Imagine the amount of people in that era who decided to write about Jesus’ trials. His life was recorded by thousands of followers across the land. A tale so interesting and compelling, but it was scattered and unorganized because people’s accounts on facts and occurrences differed. The word spread and about 300 years after the crucifixion of Christ, the number of his followers had multiplied which led to Christianity becoming a major movement throughout Eastern Europe. The Bible wasn’t a published book until someone with enough power and a clever plan got their......

Beginning in 2013, JCP again started fresh with the rehiring of retired CEO Myron Ullman who has taken revolutionary steps to improve the company’s performance and pricing structure (Berfield, 2013). Under the leadership of Ullman, JCP is working to rid itself of its former image of inadequate products, at least one price promotion per day, and high employee turnover, and instead focusing on fair pricing for all, interest based marketing, and spotlighting their exclusive brands in comparison to their competitors. Mission Statement According to Daft (2011), having a clear mission and vision for the future as well as a strategy for implementation are key components of accomplishing any goals within an organization. JCP’s mission is simple and straight to the point, “To drive Sales and Profit growth by ensuring our Customer and Associates always know they’re first in our Stores by what We do!” (JCPJline, 2011). Lost and Searching

...Lost and searching William Seward English Composition 101 12/7/13 J. Trammell Poverty in a thriving city I know a writer should write about something that they have at least a little knowledge on the subject. At risk of making myself look quite foolish, I am going to write about what I feel is high unnecessary poverty levels in Memphis, Tn. Which is the highest poverty level metro city in the U.S. I personally believe from my research that a lot of the problems of our poverty levels is the Memphis city council. They don’t appear to know what they are doing, an example of this is, Mike Mathews of local 24 news wrote an article on 6/18/13 that stated, the council members are debating right now to cut hundreds maybe 1000s of city jobs, or to raise taxes to a historic high. The Tennessee state comptroller is in the background saying if the council can’t produce a balanced budget, he will. The Mayor A.C. Wharton wants to increase taxes 40 cents and get rid of 400 employees! An example of possible corruption which will be mentioned and then never heard about again is. A few months ago, The Shelby county school board had decided to merge all the schools in the area on July 1st. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with this or not but, an outside audit was ordered by the Shelby county school board which showed that almost 50 million dollars in stuff like cars, laptops, and hard drives are just missing! The city council...

Mission

...Garcia, the plot of the story is about a young lieutenant in the military by the name of Rowan. He is tasked with delivering a message to Garcia, and even though he does not know who Garcia is or where he is to be located, Rowan accepts the task without so much as fear or hesitation. This correlates with the work environment due to the fact a subordinate who can accomplish a task without question or falter is very well respected and trusted in the workplace as a smart, confident individual. Mission accomplishment is defined by being assigned a task and fulfilling it in a timely manner, to the best of your ability, and without having to be constantly reminded to do so every so often. If appointed to do a task do not place justification on a task not being completed, nor try to postponing tactics to delay the assignment from completion. Instead of questioning every task, use resources within reach to deliver the assignment before having to be explained as to how to complete it. Another aspect of mission accomplishment is team work, without team work several tasks will be futile without assistance from co-workers and chaos will ensue in the unit and workforce. There are several ways to promote teamwork, a key part of that is communication within the team and team leaders. Without communication the employees will become complacent and the employees will begin to question the result of their work if not given a big picture of the scenario. Another important part of team work is......

Missions

...Dear Mom and Dad, I’d like to say something cute and catchy here…but instead, I’ll just get to the point of why I’m sending you this message.   Danielle and I will be going on our 1st mission trip that will travel to Ecuador on November 2nd, 2013 to invest into the lives of children and families living in abject poverty. God has touched our hearts and opened our eyes to the harsh realities and living conditions that no child should ever have to endure.  Yet, they do.  The children that we will be caring for ‘endure’ in the most heinous and dire circumstances.  On this trip, we will be partnering with two organizations that are on the front lines caring for children and families in need. The first half of our trip will be spent at Nuevos Amigos. Our church, RiverTree Christian Church, has recently assumed the operational responsibilities of Nuevos Amigos, a school located just outside of the capital city of Quito, Ecuador. It's mission is to operate a school that seeks to walk hand in hand with families to ensure that children receive spiritual guidance, quality education, and loving care that complement a healthy home environment. The other half of our time will be spent serving one of the churches and child development projects that our church helped start through Stadia Church Planting and Compassion International. This church is located on Pampanal Island, located off the northern most coastline of Ecuador. There are roughly 250 chlidren on......

Mission

...particular, mission rooted in biblical foundation. There were no Old Testament people of God without a mission. The mission and the message of the Old Testament people, even though both issues can be separated, belong firmly together. The mission includes the proclamation of the message of God. Some scholars argued that in the Old Testament there is no specific call to evangelize the world. There is no commission in the Old Testament (in contrast to the New Testament) to go and evangelize the world. David J. Bosch stated that the New Testament as a missionary document, but he did not neglect the Old Testament. Depicting this idea that without the Old Testament there is no the New Testament document of mission. Bosch hints at an Old Testament notion of mission when he refers to the action of God in history. This activity is seen in history. The most obvious missionary activity is recorded in the Book of Jonah. This prophet was not willing to go and fulfill God’s commission. At the end, he wondered what was wrong with God when He saved the cruel Ninevites. Jonah saw the salvation of Ninevites as evil, and he refused to agree with God’s compassion (Jonah 3:10; 4:1). In a dramatic way, God taught His prophet about the universality of God’s salvation (4:6-11). The Lord demonstrated His unselfish love for all, even for the enemies of His people. We, traditionally, understand mission as sending to proclaim the gospel to distant place. In Old Testament there is no evident sending......

...Sabrina Bunkeut Mission Statement Mission: I would like to become a trauma surgeon in the future. My mission for the future would be to help save the lives of many people and give them care that is needed to satisfy them to get better. Health care for me is something I looked into since I was a little kid and it led here to UPHCSA. Before coming to UPHCSA, I was guided by the Middle Bucks Institute of Technology in the Health Science Program. At that program, it allowed me to further my education in the health care field and also gave me the experience to interact with patients at a hospital called “Abington Memorial Hospital”. Each time we went to the hospital, I shadowed doctors and nurses and was able to work with patients throughout different aspects of the hospital. Being here at UPHCSA really encouraged me to work harder and choose a career that actually makes a big difference to the world; and becoming a trauma surgeon is what my ideal career would be. I chose this career because I feel that it an interesting area to work in and such a fast-pace lifestyle that will never get me tired of helping those in need and making a difference to a patient’s life. I loved the experience of learning a lot of different areas of the health care at UPHCSA; it really showed me that it’s somewhere I would like to be in the future in the health care field and that becoming a trauma surgeon is my decision for my career in life....
