...Project Course Exercise If businesses/organizations are to succeed, it is imperative that there be definitive and attainable objectives and results. The organization will define objectives by looking at the marketplace in which the organization is competing, the core competencies of the organization, recognizing how these can be applied to the goal of success, and then applying the organization's skills and competencies to accomplish the successes. This also means that the organization needs to identify areas it will not pursue – those that are not directly related to the core elements and competencies of the organization. As an example, if a company were focused on developing and manufacturing sporting equipment, it would need to determine if this includes all sporting equipment or a selection of products. Further, the company would need to determine what would be the various levels of support it would provide to its customers. For example, would the company take its equipment directly to the consumers for demonstrations and lessons on how to gain the optimal results with the equipment? All of these types of decisions would be the result of the organization developing a strategy for how it will conduct its business. All of this translates into Strategic Management with the intended result of gaining a competitive advantage in a business niche. Very simply, developing a Strategic Management Plan means having defined what is the best set of results the organization can......

Senior Citizens

...conclusion, we as the younger generation should take better care of our senior citizens. Take care of their welfare and shower them with love like what we want ourselves to be treated by our younger generation when we are old. Family members, government agencies and non-government agencies should work together hand-in-hand to provide senior citizens with proper aids and support to enable them to live happily and comfortably. During my time working with this project visiting institutions and sitting down talking with a few elderly persons it made me realize that no matter what age you are or the state you are in you should be treated as any other regular person with respect. Senior Citizens are Human Beings, these people have feelings too. (Psalm 92:14) They will still yield fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and very green. The Senior Citizen's Center was the idea of Sir. Clement Maynard, who along with a committee continues as a group to raise funds to complete the project and assist with its up keep. The Ministry of Housing and Social Development is responsible for the management of the Centre as well as assisting in the upkeep of the building and its surroundings. The Centre became operational on April 15, 1991 The purpose of the Day Care Centre is to provide a place for seniors who would otherwise spend the greater portion of their day alone. At the Centre, the seniors participate in supervised organized activities. They also......

The technology used today to help fight fires is extremely progressed and different than it was even just ten years ago. Firemen face different obstacles every day and have to be ready to jump right in with whatever the circumstance may be. Tactics such as how to use ventilation tools, the proper way to handle forest fires, and the basic prevention techniques to stay as safe and efficient as possible. Becoming a fireman is not cut out for someone who is not athletically gifted. It takes a strong person; both mentally and physically, do complete the drills that one must see every day. The equipment alone is all extremely heavy and powerful. There are many things that most people are unaware of when it comes to the basic characteristics of being a firefighter. Overview of Firefighting When the average person thinks of being a firefighter, they usually imagine cute Dalmatian dogs, loud sirens, heavy clothes, huge water hoses, poles to slide down, and giant ladders.......

...Final Report Team B: Legacy Consultants Ian Byrne, Darcy Cafiero, Sierra Collins, Tim Downen, Alvis Ford BUS 460 Senior Project Professor Maureen Lockwood DeVry University October 20, 2011 Executive Summary A comprehensive look into CanGo has led to a number of conclusions and recommendations by Legacy Consultants. A SWOT analysis of the company shows that there are good opportunities for expansion into other markets and that the threats and weaknesses that exist can be overcome or managed by an already dedicated senior staff with some additional training and direction. Product delivery and customer service can be streamlined by utilizing updated technology such as an AS/RS in CanGo’s warehouses. An online customer support and service center will improve customer experiences. A competitive advantage can be expected with state of the art product delivery and improved customer service. Strategically, CanGo needs to expand in order to stay ahead of growing competition. Legacy Consultants recommends purchasing Webjouster as the way to enter into online gaming. CanGo should stay away from offering violent games in order to maintain brand integrity. Server capacity should be increased in order to accommodate expansion demand with minimal down-time. ......

I knew when we were told about senior project, I would I pick something to do with cancer. I have always gone and visited cancer patients. Every time I went to visit, I found myself being interested in learning about the children and how they face cancer. I have been learning ways that help cancer patients cope with their sickness. My community mentor works at several hospitals. He helps children by doing different therapies and also setting them up with therapy sessions. I have spent over twenty hours job shadowing him. For my product, I made a flyer describing the insights they’ve learned and challenges they’ve faced as they’ve lived through cancer. This project is a project we have all dreaded since we heard that we would have to do it. But little did we know it was actually the best project that I have ever done in my life. I am so glad we got to do senior project. It has taught me a lot, and not just about cancer. It has taught me how to care, appreciate the things in life, stay positive, and never give up. Thanks to this project and my senior year, I’ve never appreciated life as much as I do now. I always have felt weird being around a “mentor”, this project has helped me gain confidence in job finding and being around a mentor asking questions. Senior Project

...As apart of our senior project we have dedicated a special part of it to raising money strictly for Special Olympics by hosting events. But another major part of our project is charity links. The idea of charity links to most people is simple but much more thought and effort will go into this part than you would expect. We have previously explained in our essay plans why we are doing the charity links but the information we have lacked to present to you is how we will put this on. we have a commons area in front of our cafeteria and it is common that clubs and events sell products out there so this just what we plan to do. We will set up a table out there and sell links between lunches and even possibly classes. Just like all good fund raising stragies we will advertise that we are selling these charity links for a good cause and explain briefly why and how. We plan to make announcements during lunch and hang posters around the school and even possibly get in contact with the media kids to make an announcement for us. That’s how we plan to raise money by using our charming charity links in school so we can make a reasonable sized donation to Special Olympics through BPA we hope to raise at least $100. Senior Project The point in a senior project is to relate back to your tech area, we have taken BFM for the last 4 years starting at the end of our freshman year and ending in may of our senior year. To understand BFM you have to understand how far we have......

However, resumes are often “enhanced,” such that almost all candidates appear qualified, and information found in the resume or provided through a recommendation is simply not sufficient to make an educated hiring decision.
