The history of their bilateral relations is simply a tale of misperception and misunderstandings. Both the nations despite having convergence of interests on various bilateral, regional and international issues and immense potentials in cooperation have never availed opportunities. In fact both, Pakistan and Russia had viewed each other through the prism of other states and with wrong perceptions. The changing international environment and internal and regional political dynamics of both the states have now provided another chance their elites to revisit their bilateral relations and lay down a foundation for a prosperous future. Indo-Pak Relations

...Question: 2. What are the key reasons for the continued hostility in Indo-Pak relations? What steps in your opinion can the two countries take to develop and sustain cordial relations in the twenty-first century? Introduction “Indo-Pak rivalry is the uncompromising struggle of two ways of life, two concepts of political organisation, two conflicting ideological foundations, two scales of values, and two spiritual attitudes that find themselves locked in deadly conflict, a conflict in which Kashmir has become both symbol and battleground, making the Indo-Pak rivalry an enduring one (Ashok 2012, 1)”. This essay will argue that the key reasons underlying the continued hostility in Indo-Pak relations are due to an antithetical idea of state identity. This essay will first outline the origins of the Indo-Pak conflict in order to give historical context to the conflict. It will be argued that the predisposing conditions for the conflict are a fundamental ideological difference in state construction which is closely linked to the second condition being the irredentist/anti-irredentist relationship between India and Pakistan. This essay will firstly consider the differences in state identity by outlining the fundamentals of Indo-Pak state construction with particular focus on why India and Pakistan feel their ideological existence is threatened by the other. Subsequently, the irredentist/anti-irredentist relationship will be outlined and considered in the context of the......

Pak-Ind Relations

...PAK-INDIA RELATIONS Section I: Introduction It is axiomatic that Pakistan and India share a turbulent and complex, if also short, history. While the dynamics of the relationship may shift from time to time, numerous existential issues remain in place. Characterised by mistrust, contrasting interests and the oft-quoted ‘missed opportunities’, the bloodshed of 1947 has been replaced by a more diverse set of issues that continue to mar the relationship. Kashmir has come to exemplify the classic case of a territorial dispute between neighbouring countries in the modern world composed of nation States. Extended hostile periods have only been sporadically separated by periods of relative peace – interludes that many hoped would prolong into perpetuity. But failures of State, internal conflicts, deep-rooted differences and perhaps unavoidable circumstances have meant that these spells of tranquillity remain mere specks of light in an otherwise dark corridor, at best offering missed opportunities. In studying the Pakistan-India ties, it is simplistic but also convenient to divide them into phases with regard to important junctures in South Asian history. None of the occasions that gave rise to optimism could ultimately become the watershed they were built up to be. The most recent such case was in 2004; following a prolonged period of military standoff, there began a ‘peace process’ led by President Musharraf and Prime Minister Vajpayee. This phase was significant since it......

Warung Pak Mat is located in the Medan Ikan Bakar, Jalan Kuala Besar, Kedai Buloh, Kota Bharu, Kelantan. Warung Pak Mat has becoming the most interesting eating place known by people surrounding. The stall is nearby the pantai Cahaya Bulan. This stall start to operate at 8.00 a.m. until 3.00p.m. They closed the stall on Monday. The special about Warung Pak Mat is their spicy fish soup is full of flavour with strong spices taste is a must try meal. The taste is amazingly good as you get combined taste of fresh fish and beef tendon. For me the taste is ten out of ten marks. The spicy fish soup with beef tendon is the best meal here. The spiciness of the soup with beef flavours makes this meal addictive. The price of this spicy fish soup is according to the size of the fish. The price is very reasonable with the taste and proportion. The another speciality of this Warung Pak Mat is the honey pull tea drink. This honey pull tea drink is also great as well with the unique flavour and not overly sweet. The name is as interesting as the drink because instead of using condensed or evaporated milk with the honey pull tea drink, Pak Mat uses honey for natural sweetness to the drink. This results in the drink look delicious and being so bubbly that it overflows over the glass. Even the warm water here is special because it has a fragrant pandan leaves taste in......
